Fixture Change Announced: Adelaide United vs Brisbane Roar to Headline as Standalone Ninja A-League Women Match at Coopers Stadium

Posted 27 February 2025

The Ninja A-League Women match day has seen a schedule change in Round 20. The game between Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar, which was originally scheduled to be played at Marden Sports Complex, will now be played as a standalone match at Coopers Stadium – South Australia’s home of football – on Sunday, 23 March at 4.00pm.

As part of the celebrations for the standalone fixture, Adelaide United, in partnership with Adelaide Venue Management, is providing complimentary access to the game for registered players and officials at Football South Australia Clubs in a bid to pack Coopers Stadium with the South Australian football family. Clubs will be notified of how to claim their tickets in due course.

Adelaide United CEO, Nathan Kosmina says: “On the back of a great season to date, we’re excited that this venue change offers members, fans and the broader football family a unique opportunity to enjoy a memorable game at Coopers Stadium.

“Presenting the match as a standalone event at our spiritual home highlights our ongoing investment in our Women’s program, as we push towards a place in the Finals Series for the first time since 21/22.

“We hope as many football fans as possible will attend, with Brisbane one of our main rivals for a top four – which would secure a home final – meaning the match shapes up as the most important of the season.”

The upcoming standalone match has been proudly sponsored by Adelaide Venue Management, operators of Coopers Stadium, reflecting its commitment to supporting and celebrating women’s football.

Martin Radcliffe, Chief Executive Officer, Adelaide Venue Management, comments: “The Adelaide United Women’s team has had a fantastic season to date. We’re pleased to be able to sponsor the upcoming standalone game at Coopers Stadium on 23 March to help accommodate a larger crowd, and encourage fans to come out, bring their energy and cheer on our team as they continue their push towards finals.

“Coopers Stadium has been generating an electric atmosphere this season, and I urge as many Adelaide United supporters as possible to attend this game. Since being named the premier venue for football in the A-Leagues Women’s competition last season – as voted by the players themselves – we’ve had the pleasure of hosting four A-League Women’s games to date this season as part of double header matches. With another double header scheduled for International Women’s Day on 8 March, and now this standalone game on 23 March, there’s still plenty of opportunity to show our support for our Women’s team.”
